Modified U.S. Marked Model M1835/1842 Socket Bayonet M1835/M1842 Smoothbore Springfield bayonet with dark metal patina over most of the length with U.S. Stamp and has an intact and functional locking ring. blade length is 17-5/8″ tip is bent. This is a modified bayonet to fit other muskets as the socket was cut down and another slot cut into the socket.
