This Has a Brass Basket Cross Guard with Wood Handle with complete leather and wire. The Sword Blade is in excellent original condition, has not been sharpened and signed by the Maker "Mansfield & Lamb Forestdale RI" on one side, and signed by the Inspector "US C.E.W" (Charles E. Wilson) and dated 1865, on the other side. This sword is in overall very good excellent original condition with a wonderful aged patina. The Sword measures approx. 41" Long with a 35" Blade. The Total Length of the Sword in Scabbard is 42 1/2". The Scabbard is the Original Steel Metal Scabbard with Two Loops and also has inspector stamp C.E.W. stamped on the drag.
